Association of Montana Floodplain Managers (AMFM) 26th Annual Conference

You are cordially invited to participate in the 26th Annual Association of Montana Floodplain Managers (AMFM) Conference, the premier floodplain management convention in Montana!  The conference will include presentations, technical workshops, training sessions and exhibits in a variety of areas. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration fees include all conference materials, break refreshments and evening social events. Each individual from your agency or organization planning to attend the workshop must complete a separate registration.  Register using the “Register”” button at the bottom of the page.

• $275 – “Early Bird” conference registration (prior to January 23rd.
• $325 – Standard Registration after January 23rd.
• Speaker Registration – The registration fee will be discounted 50% for one presenter for each selected abstract. Please note that the presenter must still register for the conference if they wish to attend other sessions.

Registration may be paid online through our website, or paid in-person via check at the conference. Checks payable to AMFM may also be mailed to P.O. Box 1305, Helena, MT 59624.  Sorry, there will be no refunds for cancelled registrations. If you encounter issues attempting to pay through PayPal, please email sean.ocallaghan@gallatin.mt.gov.

TODD KLIETZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR FLOODPLAIN ADMINISTRATORS/MANAGERS

The Association of Montana Floodplain Managers (AMFM) is offering the Todd Klietz Memorial Scholarship for up to two Floodplain Administrators/Managers to attend the annual conference. The scholarship will include conference registration fees and hotel accommodation for up to three nights during the conference at the predefined hotel and conference rate. Any person serving the role as Floodplain Administrator and/or having floodplain management responsibilities on behalf of their community is eligible to apply. Only people employed directly by a community participating in the National Flood Insurance Program are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to applicants who submit an abstract to present at the conference and/or are within their first three years of having floodplain management responsibilities.  Fillable PDF applications and more information on how to apply can be obtained HERE.

AMFM MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

AMFM annual dues are no longer included in conference registration and must be paid separately from conference registration. Annual membership dues are $30 and can be paid HERE. Only AMFM members can participate and vote in the annual membership meeting.

CONFERENCE LOCATION & FACILITIES

Holiday Inn Great Falls Convention Center | Great Falls, MT | February 24th – 27th, 2026

The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Great Falls Convention Center, located at 1100 5th Street South, Great Falls, MT 59405. A block of rooms has been reserved from Monday, February 23rd through Thursday, February 26th. Rooms are available for $129 per night, plus taxes and fees.

Special AMFM Rates for the Room Block will be cut off on January 24th, 2024.

Reservations are available by calling the hotel reservation line at (406) 727-7200 and identifying yourself as part of the Association of Montana Floodplain Managers (AMFM) conference.

 EXHIBITOR & SPONSOR INFORMATION

Sponsoring is a great way to get your company recognized and market your services/products to floodplain professionals. Register for sponsorships by January 31st. Sponsors will be acknowledged according to the level of sponsorship chosen during the conference and throughout the year on the AMFM website.  An exhibit table will be available for your agency/organization to display information during the conference.  Setup will open Tuesday February 24th at 4:00 PM; take down to be completed by 2:00 PM on Friday February 27th.

There are four sponsorship levels available:

• BASE FLOOD ELEVATION (BFE) $500
• FREEBOARD $1,000
• HIGH AND DRY $1,500
• NO ADVERSE IMPACT $2,500
